Hopi
Ear Candles
Hopi
Ear Candles are quite literally candles that are placed
inside the ear. Usually made from natural
ingredients, they
are shaped to form a hollow tube. They are held in position
and lit by the therapist. Gradually
any
impurities
are drawn to the surface, many of
which are carried away through the candle, although some
can be found in the residue after the candle has been removed
from the ear.
Hopi Ear Candles were originally used by ancient Greeks and
Native Indians for spiritual rituals and cleansing purposes.
More recently the physical healing effects of the candles
was understood. The name 'Hopi' comes from the Hopi Indian Tribe of North
America, where the knowledge and practice of the ear candle
treatment reached the western world.
It
is believed that the candles work on a chimney principle;
as they burn, gentle warmth
is experienced around the ear which stimulates
the blood and lymphatic
circulation which is soothing and calming. Hopi Ear Candle treatment is non-invasive and gently effective
for:
Irritation in the ears, Compacted or excessive ear wax, Headaches
or migraines, Sinusitis, Rhinitis and Glue Ear, Noises in
the ear (tinnitus), Circulatory disturbances in the ear,
Colds and flu, Relaxation and stress relief.
It is not recommended that you try to treat yourself or
ask a friend to help you as this could permanently damage
your inner ear. Please contact a qualified practitioner who
will be able to assess your condition and advise you of the
required number of treatments.
